Corporate Social Responsibility.
Our balanced approach.
Today Corporate Responsibility is an integral part of our business driven by our Managing Director, Kim Newman and supported by the overall PML team.
Giving Back to Our Communities
PML continue to make a real difference to the communities around us. We have engaged with a wide-range of professional, charitable and community support initiatives. Today we offer our people every opportunity and encouragement both to take part in our corporate initiatives and to support their own causes.
We provide flexibility in our working week to support these activities. This has involved a range of charitable support, membership of boards & best practice groups and school governorship.
Over the last 4 years we have generated in excess of £20,000 for a number of charities. This has been a combination of donations from our business and through sponsorship achieved by our staff.
The charities we have supported include:
- Essex Air Ambulance
- Child Line / NSPCC
- Help for Heroes
- Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital
- St Teresa’s Primary School (Morden)
Respecting People
Life is more than work, and we encourage our people to balance work with family and social life, so that the company provides a supportive framework for both professional and personal development.
We are committed to the recruitment and development of talented people and we operate under the terms of a Diversity Policy to ensure that equal opportunities are provided to all and a Health & Safety policy that clearly defines our responsibilities for all our people.
As an employer we have achieved (and retained) our Investors in People Accreditation.
We have also recently achieved the ‘Disability Symbol’ and become a ‘Mindful Employer’.

Promoting Sustainability
Environmental sustainability is perhaps the most important and universal challenge of our age. As a company, we are taking every possible step to minimize and continuously reduce the impact our growing business makes on the environment.
This is reinforced by the award that we recently received in recognition of our efforts in relation to recycling.
As an SME business, we ‘do our bit’ by:
- Recycling paper & cardboard, printer cartridges, glass and plastic
- Using Public Transport
- Use of non toxic materials and cleaning products
- Minimizing the use of fuel and water in our offices
- Avoidance of the use of disposable products (plastic cups & cutlery) through a supply of reusable products in our office
In the last year we recycled 1630 kg’s of paper equating to 20 trees and 2280 kg’s of CO2.
In addition, we found a charitable home for our old telephony system.
We also continue to have a positive impact in our role with our clients by encouraging them to use sustainable materials, to maximize their resources and to deliver environmental outcomes in the delivery of major projects.
At PML, we recognize and embrace our responsibilities with regard to our community, our people and our environment.
