Project Overview

PML were commissioned by Stevenage Homes, the ALMO for Stevenage Borough Council, as Strategic Manager of Major Works.

PML created and implemented strategic partnering arrangement for the Capital works contracts to support and develop apprenticeship programmes, local supply chains and labour to meet the Governments Decent Homes agenda

PML through its activities are also assisting Stevenage Homes in the preparation for its Audit Commission inspection in February 2009 with a view to securing 2 star status and releasing further funding.

The Service

Project Inception and Establishment: PML developed the strategy and mobilized the Capital programme together with appropriate methods for performance management

Project Control and Delivery: Continual management and effective control of all deliverables and quality, reporting to all stakeholders on progress and the identification of project risk

Integration of phase 2 contracts: Integration of the Phase 2 contracts into the strategic partnering approach for major works and monitoring of the procurement process

Policies, processes and strategies: Development and implementation of related policies, processes and asset management strategies

Efficiencies and continuous improvement: Identification and realization of efficiencies and process mapping to create streamlined processes and establish a foundation for continuous improvement

Knowledge Transfer and Handover: As a result of in depth skills gap analysis PML are creating and implementing a continuous improvement package which we are supporting by way of mentoring and coaching
