DLO Training Course

Overview
A modular training course aimed at improving the performance of direct labour organisations through maximising productivity and increasing awareness of performance. The course is participative and offers:
• Budget Management
• Value for Money
• Performance Management
• Staff Productivity
• Setting Objectives
• Staff Supervision techniques
• Risk Assessment

The course can is ‘hand on’ and aimed at supervisory and middle management so that they manage resources more effectively, work together and deliver corporate objectives.

Length of Course
The course is designed to meet a client’s specific needs but is typically structured in one or two day modules over a period of months.

Effective Number of Participants
This training is most effective in groups of 6 to 15

Participants have expressed high levels of satisfaction due to the practical nature of the training.

Bid Training Course

Overview
Aimed at helping contracting organisations to ‘bid better’ through providing advice on what clients are looking for and how to structure bids more effectively.

This course is typically based on a critique of recently submitted material to be used as a case study.

Participants are normally business development professionals and operational staff that assist with bid production.

Length of Course
The course is typically delivered in half day or full day formats

Effective Number of participants
Up to 15 participants

Partnering Training Courses

Overview
PML can provide a range of partnering training courses linked to a client’s specific need. The training can include a full partnering overview, an introduction to specific partnering contracts (PPC2000 and TPC2005), structured problem solving techniques and open book methodology

The training can include a full partnering overview, an introduction to specific partnering contracts (PPC2000 and TPC2005), partnership in construction, structured problem solving techniques and open book methodology

Presentation Training

Overview
PML can assist in maximising your organisation’s ability to represent themselves at client interviews during the tender selection phase of a procurement programme.  By coaching each individual attendee in a range of communication styles incorporating tone, language and physicality PML will change delivery styles to match the audience and maximise the positive message that is expected from any potential client.

The course based upon groups of 10-15 split into 3 sub groups, each of which are provided with an interview question upon which they create a 20 minute presentation which is then critiqued by the group with progressive development over the days exposure to alternate approaches to delivery.

A very much ‘inclusive’ day session which prompts the candidates to actively work on their own delivery as well as provide constructive advice to their colleagues providing good levels of team building as a passive side line.
